Our Blog - term 1 snapshot

And so we reach the end of term 1. Here's just a snapshot of the enriching activities enjoyed by pupils in our community of schools:
- Combe Down pupils saw Frank Cotterill Boyce at the Bath Literature Festival.
- Kestrels wind band played for Churchfields' parents at their coffee morning.
- St Martin's Garden welcomed parents into school to view pupils' work on the theme of 'an English country garden.' The art pieces will be on display next term.

- Caterpillar class at Winsley enjoyed role playing as firefighters, with a 'real' helmet!
- Art club at Widcombe Juniors saw pupils drawing from observation and using gelli plates to explore mark-making.
- Year 2s at Widcombe Infant visited Widcombe Parade & Halfpenny Bridge for geography fieldwork - noting & sketching landmarks and talking to shop-keepers.

- At Oldfield Park Juniors, Berlin class' parent forest school & cookery afternoon was a lovely time for all!
- Robin class at St Philip's explored the outside space in the sunshine.
- Pupils enjoyed leaf painting and discovering autumn treasures at Oldfield Park Infant.
- Westbury Leigh supported each other; developing team work and trust at the Mendip Activity Centre.
- Westwood with Iford made the most of the sunshine on their new play equipment
- Ralph Allen Year 8 & Year 8/9 combined netball teams enjoyed fixtures against St Greg's & Oldfield School with great results!
- Fitzmaurice are proud of their breakfast club being an extension of the day, a soft start as well as an opportunity to eat together.
