Operations Manager Term Time + 3 Weeks During Holidays, Part Time 29 Hours P/Week

Grade H, Point 15-17 £25,419 - £27,514 per annum (pro rata)

About Us

The Palladian Academy Trust is a community of schools, each with its own particular ethos, that enjoy a mutually enriching partnership.  The PAT includes both church and community academies working closely together, all connected by the vision we share for our students.  We value and respect the individuality of every child and believe their learning and development should be personal and holistic.  We aim to support their wellbeing and help them achieve their best.

Fitzmaurice Primary School and Westwood with Iford Primary Schools are located 1.7 miles from each other in Bradford on Avon and the village of Lower Westwood.  Fitzmaurice Primary School occupies a large, attractive site near the centre of Bradford on Avon with 300 children on roll arranged across 10 classes. Westwood with Iford Primary School is a beautiful rural village school with 3 classes and 65 pupils on roll.  The schools are led by an Executive Headteacher.

About the Role

Palladian Academy Trust are seeking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager on a permanent basis.  Reporting to the Executive Head, you will manage the operations side of the schools, spending time each week across both sites to ensure that they are running efficiently and effectively.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role and will be able to demonstrate.

  • Strong leadership and team management including conducting staff appraisals and providing/organising training where appropriate.
  • Experience of overseeing risk management and conducting necessary risk assessments.
  • Exposure to site management including maintenance and building projects.
  • Strong administration skills and proficiency with Office 365 and bespoke online suites.

The role will occasionally require the candidate to travel independently between both sites and therefore provision of your own vehicle for this post is essential.

This new post is a new and exciting opportunity for a dynamic and adaptable person who has a positive and proactive approach to their work.  Experience of working in an education setting is an advantage but is not essential as training will be provided.

At Palladian Academy trust we are committed to each employee’s continual professional development and for the right candidate, we may be able to offer support with related study.  Other benefits of the role include flexible & home working options, commitment to continual professional development, access to an employee assistance programme, cycle to work scheme and entry into the Local Government Pension Scheme (after qualifying period).

This is the perfect opportunity to embrace a new career, joining a hardworking and supportive team. Full details of the role can be found on our Job Description.

Visits and applications:  If you would like to speak with Tracey Dunn (Executive Headteacher) or Jo Hill (Head of School) ahead of submitting an application, please email  FPSrecruitment@palladianacademytrust.com to arrange a phone call and/or to obtain application details.
